Cercle Brugge Wants €10 Million For 21-Goal Striker

Cercle Brugge have named their price for striker Kevin Denkey, and it’s predicted it could rise as the season progresses.

De Vereniging are currently fifth in the Belgian Pro League, and on course to appear in the Champions playoff games. They’re a success on the back of one man’s goals – Kevin Denkey. The Togo striker has hit 21 in the league this season, and at just 23 years old, he’s rapidly becoming hot property.

Olympique Lyonnais, Lille, Stade Rennais, and RC Lens are all believed to be eyeing a swoop for the striker, who left France for Belgium in 2021. As a youth, he came through the ranks at Nimes, bagging four goals in as many years before being released.

With 21 to his name in the league so far, including six in his last four outings, his stock is rising, and that’s caused Miron Muslic’s Cercle to stick a €10 million price on his head. However, a report by Get Football News France has suggested that price could increase as the season rolls by. Indeed, while French sides are credited with an interest, it is believed there are also clubs in Germany keeping tabs on the situation.

Denkey, who has scored seven times in 28 outings for his country, including a brace in AFCON 2023 qualifying against Cape Verde, has thrived in the high-pressing system operated by his employer, and as well as his goals his proven to be a physical striker, not afraid of bumping a defender.
